We utilized the birth of our own studio as a creative case study, developing the brand identity, assets, guidelines, and motion design system to illustrate what we can do and how it can launch a business into motion.

PROJECT INFORMATION

Dreaming Head Lives! We wanted a direct and open feeling to the studio so we utilized LL Lettera Text. In addition to the text font we also use a mono to bring a sense of technicality to our work, which is a major interest for us.

To compliment the clarity and directness of the text we introduced expressive and abstract headlines to pull the tone into unique visual expression. The artwork is inspired by mid-century geometric cubist practices from architects Jan Slothouber & William Graatsma. We coded the imagery with the symbols of the open studio, Dreaming Head becomes an invitation to the eccentric design nerd. The palette is intentionally minimal to allow for our clients to be emphasized within the Dreaming Head ecosystem.

The wordmark has been optimized to feel self-contained and autonomous for isolated uses, while also having the ability to be set in-line with other text allowing for a seamless and minimalist feel.
